Santa Clarita Eating Disorder Treatment Center

The Bella Vita in Santa Clarita offers Day Treatment, Intensive Outpatient, and Outpatient Services for adolescent and adult women and men.

Our Santa Clarita treatment center can be found north of Los Angeles, between the San Fernando and Antelope Valleys, accessible from both the 5 and 14 freeways. This makes our location convenient to reach, while providing an escape from the city. At The Bella Vita, the peace of mind of our patients is our first consideration, down to each individual corner of our office.

An ornate patio with flowing and still-water fountain waits at the threshold of our program’s doors. Inside, we offer a spacious atmosphere and serene setting in all rooms of our treatment center, which helps our patients to rest easy, exist comfortably, and move about without feeling encumbered. Spacious individual counseling offices, group therapy rooms and a family style dining kitchen provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere for individuals participating in our programs. Our lobby creates a relaxing ambiance with pleasant and serene tones that invites our visitors and patients to make them feel at home. The tranquil environment, along with our unique approach to healing, helps create the setting to begin influencing positive change in one’s life. A willing patient and a dedicated treatment team complete the formula.

Santa Clarita Treatment Program

We establish and involve both nutritional and psychological goals from the start of treatment, in the course of a tier-structured plan that helps the patient to reduce anxiety, understand the mechanisms of healthy eating, and sustain emotional well-being. Along with emotional and cognitive integration, we focus on connection of the body, mind and spirit, developing mindfulness to access intuition and wisdom to manage and cope effectively without the focus on food.

Recommendations for these levels of care, as with all others, are determined during the initial consultation. The length of stay varies according to the needs of the individual.

Day Treatment
At this level of care, patients will be provided with the support and structure to re-establish healthy eating patterns while being able to partially partake in career, school, or family environments. Patients are asked to commit to participate in the program for one to two months eight hours a day, six days a week.

Intensive Outpatient
At our lowest level of care, patients fully apply the skills and insights learned in treatment to integrate themselves back into their normal career, school, and family schedules. This level of care is offered six days a week for four hours a day. Patients are asked to commit to participate in the program for one to two months four hours a day, six days a week.

Comprehensive Care

The Bella Vita Santa Clarita has the availability to swiftly provide the appropriate level of treatment when a patient’s needs may require a higher or lower level of care. Offering Residential treatment, our highest level of care, allows our patients to address any underlying medical stabilization and interrupt their severe eating disorder behaviors. Patients can then return to Day Treatment once stabilized, followed by participation in our Intensive Outpatient Program. While attending Day Treatment or Intensive Outpatient Programs, patients may live in our Transitional Living home. Our Transitional Living home provides door to door transfers from our home to the nearest Bella Vita Day and Intensive Outpatient treatment center while encouraging a patient the opportunity for independent living.

Even in the course of anticipating the patient’s discharge, we are thinking forward and suggesting multi-disciplinary approaches for relapse prevention, such as follow-up with a primary care physician, psychiatrist, registered dietitian or therapist. After a patient discharges from our Santa Clarita program, have the option to receive reserved support from our treatment team through Outpatient Services. Our Outpatient Services include: Individual, Marriage, Group, Nutritional, Psychiatric, Family, and Eating Disorder Counseling.
