Positive Thinking

Positive Thinking

Avoiding negative thoughts of powerlessness, dejection, failure, and despair is key to positive thinking. Chronic stress makes people vulnerable to negative suggestions. Here are some tips to help focus on positives.

* Focus on your strengths
* Learn from stressful situations
* Seek out the positive in situations in order to help make the change

Negative thinking habits can be destructive.  Situations that people face can be classified into two categories:

One: Situations where things can be done to change the outcome.  In cases such as these don’t just sit there and worry, take case of the issue.  You have control.  Often, procrastination is the root for many stressful episodes.

Second: Situations where the outcome cannot be changed. In this case worrying does not make any difference on the outcome. So, don’t worry. Let the situation resolve itself; there’s nothing you can do anyway.
